As business people creating products relative to an active lifestyle, we feel we have a responsibility to act as stewards of the environment and the surrounding communities. It is imperative that we contribute toward the preservation and restoration of our natural world. We should help to ensure that there will be mountains, forests, beaches, and oceans for generations to come.

Although not complete, below are a few of the changes we have instituted so far. Theses are the first steps toward meeting our long term objectives:

1. Use only 100% Post-Consumer Recycled Paper in all of our packaging and carton.
2. Eliminate the use of all paper hand tags and inserts in our shoe boxes.
3. Eliminate the use of the resin glues in the constriction of our shoe boxes.
4. Eliminate the use of traditional shoe stuffing such as tissue paper and cardboard inserts.
5. Use lead-free inks in the printing of our shoe boxes.
6. Use water-based glues in the construction of our footwear.
7. Use biodegradable materials for our protective shoe bags.

At BEARPAW, we recognize the importance of being responsible. Responsibility is a journey, not a destination. We will continue to strive for sustainability and ways to further reduce our impact on the environment.
